I had the enjoyment of meeting Ken Grimball in extremely rare and unusual way. I usually watched channel twelve news every early morning, to get the current visitors report before heading out to work as a limousine driver. I recall passing Ken every early morning on Fantastic Neck Rd, Amityville, NY more than searching the Southern State Parkway performing his live visitors report.Prior to I headed out to work, I would drop off my girlfriend at her job in Farmingdale, NY I keep in mind this one specific early morning it was brutally cold. Whilst watch the news, I heard Ken Grimball say,"It's so cold out here, I wish someone would drop me off some hot chocolate". That is just what I did..I bought one for each Ken and his driver. He was so ecstatic by my kindness, he left a message on my answering machine that night. He not only thanked me once more but, stated that he would point out my title live on the air. The rest is history. I did that for no other cause, other than to be a nice man that I am. This footage was from 1988. By the way, Ken Grimball is one of the nicest gentleman I had the enjoyment of meeting. He is also an outstanding opera singer.
